The Off de BICZ Stage of Sopot has been operating since October 2003. It has been established by an initiative of the Authorities of the City of Gdańsk. Teatr na Plaży (The Theatre on the Beach) in the Northern Baths (Łazienki Północne), just by the Grand Hotel, has been appointed as its seat.

Presently, there are two theatres operating at the Off de BICZ Stage: Teatr Stajnia Pegaza (The Pegasus’s Stable Theatre) and Teatr Okazjonalny Joanny Czajkowskiej i Jacka Krawczyka (The Joanna Czajkowska and Jacek Krawczyk Occasional Theatre). Those theatres present their repertoire performances at the Stage, as well as at numerous festivals and reviews throughout Poland and abroad. Now, the repertoire of the actors at the Off de BICZ Stage includes nearly twenty performances, and the theatres associated by that institution belong to the top of Polish independent theatres. The Off de BICZ Stage of Sopot is also a member of the EON Meeting - an informal European society of independent theatres.
