The “Pod Łososiem” Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the oldest places in Gdańsk. It is the history of the place, so bound up with the city, which makes its unusual character. In 1598, a Dutchman named Ambrosius Vermollen established a tasting room and a distillery for the “Goldwasser” liqueur, known also as the Gold Vodka.

The restaurant is open for guests everyday from 12:00. A rococo hall leads to its air-conditioned and multi-storey rooms. The rooms are full of vintage objects, paintings, silver goods, patiently collected kerosene lamps and their beauty endears them to many guests. The rooms are prepared to hold 110 people so we are capable of organizing wedding receptions, christening parties and other occasional meetings.

The “Pod Łososiem” Restaurant is an unusual place to have a culinary meeting with royal fish and sophisticated recipes of traditional dishes. Its exquisite cuisine has won a range of highest culinary awards, including “The Silver Frying Pan” and “The Order of Pomian”, and - what is the most important - recognition of gourmets from all over the world. The chef’s specialities include dishes made of salmon, seafood, delicious soups and refined desserts.
