AMBERIF - the International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones

AMBERIF- the International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones invites. We expect to host over 450 exhibitors from 12 countries. The latest edition of the Fair was visited by 9 176 persons from 40 countries from all over the world: representatives and owners of wholesale companies, chain outlets, retailers, galleries and museums, as well as scientists, gemmologists and trade media from Poland and abroad.
Amberif Fair is organised in topical sectors:
Amber Hall 5
: jewellery with baltic amber, silver and gold jewellery with amber, decorative objects and items of applied art made of amber
Silver Hall 4
: jewellery with baltic amber, silver and gold jewellery, gemstones, packaging, decorative objects and items of applied art made of amber, Art Gallery
Gold Hall 3
: gold and silver jewellery collections, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, imported jewellery, silverware and watches.
The Fair feature a number of interesting industry meetings and social events, design competitions and seminars. Mercurius Gedanensis is Jewellery Craftsmanship Competition for Exhibitors, held in three categories: design, technical innovation and jewellery mastery. Amberif Design Award Elektronos 2009 invites international artists to inerprete talizman into the contemporary jewellery with amber.
The programme will include: The Seminar on Baltic Amber, organised in partnership with the Museum
of the Earth of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and the International Amber Association, and The Seminar on Diamonds, organised by the Association of Jewellery Experts in partnership with the HRD - Antwerp World Diamond Council.

The Palaeontological Gallery, organised as usual by the Museum of Amber Inclusions of the University of Gdańsk and the Natural History Museum of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow, will be the meeting place for collectors of and experts in faunal and floral inclusions from ancient forests. The Amber Laboratory, which provides advice and consultation in all matters related to amber material, will be run by the scientists and experts of the International Amber Association and Technical University of Gdańsk.
The Amber Gala, a fashion and jewellery show by well-known fashion and jewellery designers, will suggest
inspiration and trends for the nearest future.
