AMBERIF - the International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones invites. We expect to host over 450 exhibitors from 12 countries. The latest edition of the Fair was visited by 9 176 persons from 40 countries from all over the world: representatives and owners of wholesale companies, chain outlets, retailers, galleries and museums, as well as scientists, gemmologists and trade media from Poland and abroad.

We have the pleasure to invite you to the exhibition of the famous Polish artist from Sandomierz, Mr. Cezary Łutowicz. The vernissage of the exhibition "Scarcer than diamond" will take place in the Ambermoda Gallery in Sopot on Friday 12th March 2010 at 7:00 PM.  The exhibition belongs to the series of events related to Amberif Fair and will be opened until 30th March.

Gdańsk Music Festival is by design devoted to classical music with a possibility to widen the program with other music genres or even arts which may contribute to its popularization. Through the expression "classical music" one should understand as well early music as contemporary music for which romanticism and XX th century modernism compositions have been a counterpoint.

During his spring concert tour we will be able to see the performance of a well – known and adored not only in the Czech Republic but also in Poland artist, Jaromir Nohavica in the Cinema “Neptun” in Gdansk. The performance of this bard who comes from the borderland of the Czech Republic, Poland and Moravia is supposed be an incredible event which will delight his numerous fans.

Meetings of all citizens of the city of Gdansk - both those who live in Gdansk today and those who lived in the city some time ago. A great feast at a gigantic table set in Dluga Street. Debates, concerts and other attractions. All this is going to be the Third World Congress of the People of Gdansk in 2010.

The titles of films which will be presented on 35th Polish Film Festival will be announced soon. We would like to present the programme of the forthcoming Polish Film Festival. Like every year, the most important events are going to be three competitions with Golden Lions and other prestigious awards to be won. The films will compete in The Main Competition, Independent Cinema Competition and Young Cinema Competition. The youngest generation will choose its favourite film in Gdynia for Children section.

In June Gdańsk will again become the Baltic and European port of dance. This will be the time of the Gdansk Dance Festival – an event which will unite dance creators and lovers from Gdansk, Poland and Europe in a joint celebration of this art during an over two-week-long undertaking with a rich artistic and educational programme.

Two years after the Warsaw premiere, the concert Disney’s Magic Music starts its tour in Poland. The performance which is the combination of the live symphonic music and the most beautiful Disney’s films may be seen in Gdynia in May 2010.

This day marks St. John’s feast day and the main street in Gdynia, Świętojańska, being named after him this is an important date in Gdynia calendar. A carnival takes place on this famous street and features over 200 professional performers.

Organized since the year 2000 , this event regularly attracts sailing leaders, Gdynia Sailing Days permamently enrolled to the callendar of sailing events taking place in Gdynia. The boat races with every year gain on the meaning and the size, at present the event is the second biggest event of this type in the Baltic Basin.

The 9th Heineken Open’er Festival is to take place from the 1st to the 4th of July 2010 , in Gdynia, at the Babie Doły airport (Kosakowo). The festival ticket packages are to be sold as early as on the 16th of November. A pre-sale of the ticket packages in special, promotional prices is to be held from the 16th of November 2009 to the 15th of January 2010.

Festiwal Rytmu i Ognia (Rhythm and Fire Festival) in Gdynia lasts as long as five festal days. The first three days are for lovers of fire shows and ethnic music who come from all over Poland and abroad. This will be a jamboree which will give you the opportunity to exchange your experiences with others, attend workshops and liven up the city with evening attractions. Bursts of fire on the sandy beach, ethnic music and workshops will leave visitors with unforgettable impressions.

At the end of July the spacious sandy beach of Gdynia will be the location of an incredible music show, enhanced with fantastic lighting, pyrotechnics, and dance performances. The most prominent DJs of contemporary music, marvellous singers and dreamlike dancers will appear on the immense stage. They will be accompanied by a powerful sound and beautiful illuminations.

For the sixth time musicians of different kinds will perform in the Kolibki Park in Gdynia, from folk and neo-folk bands, to jazz, rock or even punk and heavy metal. Such diversity is linked by a common idea – cultivating the origins and attitudes to musical traditions.

The racing will take place on the water reservoir near both the pier and the beach. Not only does such a form of the competition allow all supporters to observe the participants’ struggle, but it also promotes sailing among both tourists as well as local residents.

The Siege of Malbork outdoor event is a tourist undertaking which refers to historical facts and takes place in the second half of July every year. This year, the Siege of Malbork is being organised solely by the Castle Museum in Malbork. We forecast that there will be approximately 120 thousand visitors.

A series of cultural, tourist and promotion undertakings realized in a historical tone, based on real events and places dating back to the Poland- Sweden war in  1626-1629.

Champions teams from all over the Europe will compete in Six Nations Cup: over 140 athletes, 60 technicians, and 40 press agent. Over 50 people working for the Organization will operate in the whole area, especially the 2 court where all the matches will take place.

Since as early as mid 16th century have English actors visited Gdańsk presenting their latest repertoire straight from London. At that time Gdańsk was the most Shakespeare town in Poland. This is where the first Polish public theatre was established. What is more, the theatre architecture even resembled the characteristic features of Elizabethan theatre.

It is a continuation of a festival started in 2006 celebrating the 250th anniversary of the great composer’s birthday. The concert program includes both works of the Master as well as pieces inspired by his music. Not only do the concerts take place in the wonderful interiors of the Oliwa Cathedral and the Abbots’ Palace, but they are also held in the breathtaking park of the palace in Oliwa. It is an unprecedented event both in Poland as well as in Europe as the Oliwa Park is a natural scenery of the Mozart times.

A KuKu Sztuka Association, supported by the City Hall of Gdynia present an interdisciplinary artistic event entitled TRANSVIZUALIA. Festival of AudioVisual and Multimedia Forms, that inscribed itself into a group of innovative, international festivals. 

Every year in October, Gdańsk changes into a capital of music videos. Yach Film: The Polish Music Video Festival is not only an annual music video celebration but also a meeting place for representatives of music labels, independent artists, Polish music stars and viewers interested in inter-media works of Poland and countries of the Baltic region.

Jazz Jantar is an international festival with the participation of stars known all over the world. It presents both avant-garde and jazz roots and it has been organized by the well known ŻAK Club for years now. The club co-operates with numerous jazz and improvised music performers, widely understood youth contemporary music  which is often a combination of various genres.

The international Festival of Sacred Music has already been attended by great artists from all over the globe - symphony orchestras, choirs, and soloists.
