Amber has been associated with the Baltic region in a special way as its resources can be found here. What is more, there are also some historical connections seeing that before the war there was the West-Prussia Provincial Museum in Zielona Brama which possessed the greatest natural collection of amber in the world. However, mainly thanks to its present actions, Gdańsk has been considered to be the world capital of amber.
