Gdańsk, a seafaring city with a history reaching back over a thousand years, is known as the Amber City and abounds with highly specialised artists and craftsmen working with this unique and beautiful ‘stone’.
With a combined population of more than 750,000, Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot together make up the Tri-City, one of the largest in the country. Our sightseeing tour of Gdańsk encompasses the restored Town Hall (1686‑95), Artus Court and the Armoury (1602-05), the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the largest Gothic church in the country (15th-16th century), the Golden Gate and two renowned symbols of the city, Neptune’s Fountain (1615) and the medieval crane known as Żuraw (1442).
A visit to Sopot, one of Poland’s premier seaside resorts, is also on the itinerary. The 512 m pier, constructed in 1928 and later rebuilt, is the longest in the Baltic. With its wealth of Secession architecture, Sopot presents a completely different face from Gdańsk and is home to a number of entrepreneurs, artists and architects.
The next day brings a visit to Malbork Castle. The former residence of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights, it was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.
The package includes:
• 2 nights in a three-star hotel in the city centre, with breakfast
• Airport/sea terminal/hotel transfers
• A half-day sightseeing tour of Gdańsk and Sopot (approx. 5 hours)
• A visit to Malbork Castle
• Transport during sightseeing tours
The package price: - from 128 EUR per person (Group of 25 people min.)
