Sightseeing on foot may be a wonderful way to discover new places, but we have in store something miles better! Take a spin with us and make a splash! See more of Gdańsk – by bike and kayak.
Two feet are good, but two wheels are better when it comes to covering more ground and taking in more sights. Our route for active sightseers is several hours long and takes us along the beach, past the charmingly elegant streets of Sopot, through city parks and the Old Town of Gdańsk, and alongside the city’s unique fortifications. Our guide will be pointing out the fascinating sights and filling you in on their history as you cover the kilometres on the comfortable, 28-inch wheel, 21-gear trekking bicycles we provide.
After the roads comes the river, as you exchange your bikes for kayaks on this, the first tourist offer of its kind in Poland. Over 1000 years ago, our ancestors chose to settle in the region between the Baltic Sea, the Motława River and the Kashubian hills – and thus Gdańsk was born. The settlers made use of the marshland’s properties for both transport and city defence. At the turn of the 16th and 17tth centuries, the city’s unique fortifications were raised here, immense strongholds were built and a double moat was constructed. Today, the ruins of those ancient fortifications can be seen and circumnavigated. During a 2-3 hour kayak trip on the Motława River, our English-speaking guide will regale you with tales of historical Gdańsk – as seen from the water. Amazing views guaranteed!
The package includes:
• Private airport or ferry • terminal transfers with our English-speaking tour guide
• 2 nights in a hotel/hostel, including breakfast
• A bike & kayak tour with our English-speaking city guide
The package price: on request
