Do you fancy drinking milk still warm from the cow? And savouring a crusty loaf straight from the oven? Not to mention seeing how the world looks from upside down? Then come with us!
A visit to an agrotourism farm will open a window onto life in the Kashubian countryside, as the farmer tells us about working the land and teaches us how to tell one cereal crop from another and what needs to be done with the grain in order to turn it into bread. He will give a demonstration of bread‑making using a traditional bread oven and everyone will have the chance to make and bake their own Kashubian kukle; similar to a gingerbread man, a kukle is what Kashubian children make with the remains of the dough when their mothers are baking bread. A sip of fresh milk for dessert and then off to visit the farm animals: ducks, hens, pigs, geese and cows.
And there is more to come. A visit to the upside-down house and a walk on the ceiling awaits us, as does the experience of an air-raid during a visit to Międzynarodowy Dom Sybiraka. This wooden house was a gift from the Polish community living in the village of Zapleskino, near Irkutsk in Siberia. Sent over 8000 km, it was reassembled in Kaszuby. We will also see the Nobel table, made from the single longest plank of wood in the world and named in honour of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Lech Wałęsa, and enjoy an impression-filled ride through the surrounding area in a traditional, horse-drawn hay wain. The day will crowned by a Kashubian feast, complete with the food, music and dance unique to the region.
The package includes:
• Accommodation for 2 nights in a Kashubian pension
• 2 breakfasts, 1 cooked supper, 1 Kashubian feast
• Entrance to the sites on the itinerary
• The services of an English-speaking guide in Szymbark
• Hay wain ride
• Tour guide
The package price from 299 PLN per person
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us
