ilustracjaThe finals of European Football Championship are to be played in Poland and Ukraine in 2012. Gdańsk has been chosen by the UEFA to be one of their host cities. Three group matches and quarterfinals are to be played here.
Presently, in Gdańsk the arena of the championships - a modern stadium - is being built. The object, resembling the amber with the colour and shape of its façade, is to have the capacity of 44 thousand of football fans. It will hold more than 40 VIP boxes and 1,385 business places in the main stand. The size of stadium is 236 x 204 x 45 metres. Apart form the stadium, a conference and exhibition centre will be built. The completion of the building works at the stadium is planned for 2010. So plan your visit to Gdańsk during Euro 2012 competitions now!
